We know that reading to young children is such an important part of their literacy development.  When we encourage them to make inferences and predictions, we are modeling good reading strategies.  It is also important to see how quickly children can learn to mimic adults; they are truly little sponges soaking up all influences!  This video is a new favorite that shows how a child learns not only to memorize the words to a favorite book, but also the tone by which it is read ("over the hills").  Enjoy and more importantly...Read to every little person in your life!  Click on the link below to see the video:
