International Dot Day

Today, September 15, 2014 is International Dot Day, named for the book, The Dot, by Peter H. Reynolds.

I have read this books aloud to multiple students over varying grade levels.  I enjoy sharing it with my READ 438 students (pre-service teachers) to remind them how important our interaction with students is...how we can encourage, engage, and motivate students with simple actions...and unfortunately, how easily we can respond in a negative manner, which can be devastating!
