Read Across America

Seussville
This is one of the most exciting weeks of the year…Read Across America.  Today, March 2, we celebrate one of the most famous children's authors:  Dr. Seuss.  Seuss (3/2/1904--9/24/1991) forever changed the landscape for children's literature.  We use his books to help teach rhyming, sight & high frequency words, and more importantly, a love of reading!

The National Education Association (NEA) supports Read Across America and has documented how this week looks across the United States:  NEA

Here is link to an entire toolkit for exciting ideas for this special time:  Seussville
Most of all…read to kids…get them excited…get them MOTIVATED!
