In LIBS 451/651, we celebrated World Read Aloud Day with several small group readings, a few whole group read alouds and a culminating classroom activity. We practiced story retelling using our hands and used a heart to make connections to the text. This was a great day for me as I enjoyed watching students who are engaged in a lesson!
