Read2me: I have been in education for 20+ years from pre-K dance education to K-12, college, and beyond. I earned my B.A. in Journalism with a Minor in Political Science from the Pennsylvania State University, M.Ed. in Reading Education, Ed.S. and Ed.D. in Curriculum & Instruction from Florida Gulf Coast University. Most recently, my work in nonprofit has been with a domestic violence agency working with women and children who have been impacted by family violence. Although much of my early research focused on literacy, interactive learning modalities, student engagement, and educator preparation, my current research serves to study the impact of trauma as it relates to learning and overall development as well as meeting the needs of ALL students.
