Are You Dangerous?

I cannot remember where I saw this posted, but it certainly caught my eye.  Madeleine L'Engle, author of A Wrinkle in Time, shares her thoughts about the how writers, teachers, and librarians can be "dangerous." Yes, perhaps, we do have enough vocabulary to recognize injustice and to speak out loudly about it, but more importantly, do we have the courage to be those "dangerous people?"

I believe in the importance of speaking out!  I believe in teaching students how to self-advocate.  We need students to own their learning, take ownership of their academic performance. For me, this is one of the best ways that we can support students.

How do you support your students?
