I came across this and couldn't resist posting! Thankfully, we have come along way, but we still live in a society that makes judgements about teachers (well, nearly everyone) and that must stop.
If we want kids to be kind and accept one another...we (as adults) must MODEL this behavior. Social media has become an outlet for many to post hateful comments and in doing so, we are telling kids that it is OK to behave like this...and it most certainly is NOT.
We are no longer in 1914, but it is my hope that 2018 will bring about change!
