Libraries: A Place of Wonder

A library is an amazing place of wonder...it can be an escape from reality and yet also offer an amazing place to research! One of my favorite things about a library is the smell...that smell of the printed pages of many books. Using an e-reader eliminates some of that wonder for me, but like so many others, I often fall 'victim' to it. What other way can I have the book of my choice in seconds without leaving my house! Tonight is a perfect example...a student gave a remarkably energetic author study earlier today in LIBS 451, which made me want to read a book written by Katherine Paterson, his author. Needless to say, I have downloaded it and will be starting it tonight! It may not carry that smell, but in my hands, I will hold that very book without leaving my home!
